About us
Stop the Dredge is a diverse community campaign bringing together residents, fishers, business owners, scientists and NGOs from Falmouth and the surrounding areas. We are united by our shared concern for the future of the town and our local marine environment.
What do we want?
- Produce evidence: Pause or cancel dredging license plans until independent environmental and economic assessments, and robust safeguards, are in place.
- Stop the dredge: Find alternative approaches for the development of the docks and the cruise industry, that avoid harm and prioritise long-term community benefits.
- Allow proper consultation: A consultation process that includes local fishers and other affected groups - with feedback clearly reflected in decisions.
